My husband Michael (trumpet player) and I had the privilege of playing a virtual concert for the City of Beaconsfield in July 2020 with our friend and exceptional pianist Chad Linsley. It was a wonderful opportunity to play and sing together after so many months of isolation and no live music due to the pandemic. Here's to making music together! |
Gracias a la vida: Kerry-Anne - vocals; Michael Woytiuk - piano;
When I first began to study Spanish, our wonderful teacher had the class listen to this song sung by the inimitable Mercedes Sosa. I fell in love with her voice and this remarkable song by Violeta Parra. Thank you to life; for my eyes and all that I see, for my ears and that which I hear, for the singing of birds and the air that I breathe. Thank you for the tender voice and the eyes of my beloved. Danny Boy: Kerry-Anne - vocals; Michael Woytiuk - piano; Michael Cartile - trompette/trumpet
This was my mom's favourite song and I love singing it so I arranged it for voice, piano and trumpet or violin. |
